“You can do big, hard scary things!”

That’s exactly what I told my daughter the other day when she was trying to learn how to take out her first set of contact lenses.

Funny thing was that I was muttering that very same mantra to myself and praying for peace over my mind almost 12 hours later. Standing in front of an audience of over 150 strangers, I was sharing a pretty difficult journey our family faced – all in an effort to prevent other families from experiencing the same thing. It was hard…like really hard.

Whether it’s a business venture or a personal fight, YOU can do big, hard, scary things. Often times it really just comes down to us making the end result more important than the fear of actually doing it.

So let me encourage you to step out and face your fear. I know it won’t be easy but you’ll be glad you did it. Then when you do it, look the next fear you face head on and tackle that. Before you know it, you’ll look back and be amazing at how many things you did that succeeded – all because you kept facing your fears.
