Wouldn’t it be nice if your customers promoted your products to the other people attending the craft fair – without even knowing it? That’s where Attention Grabbers come in. When you provide attention grabbing items to your sales process, your customers will do just that. Here are two of my favorite ways:
- Light-up necklaces, bracelets, etc. – A while back, I listened to a podcast about the ladies who created the Elf on the Shelf. When they attended their first vendor fair, they knew their customers were going to generally be busy moms who would more than likely be toting their kids in strollers throughout the fair. They decided to invest in some inexpensive light-up bracelets to keep the kids occupied at their booth, while they talked to the moms about their product. Then when they left the booth, other moms with kids in strollers saw the light-up bracelets and asked where they got them. Cue, the referral. Those moms became a promoter of the booth without even knowing. What could you use to do the same thing?
- Clear bags for your products – much like the light-up bracelet idea, are having clear bags for your products after customers have purchased your products. Even if you have pretty boxes for your products, they’ll still capture attention inside those clear bags. Your customers will be carrying around your beautiful products throughout the fair promoting your products without even knowing it.
What could you use to help draw the attention of those walking around the fair and how could your customers help promote without knowing they were even doing it?
