Last year my husband was the victim of a Facebook ad scam. He bought some hand weights and after 2 months (and horrible customer service) he received a water bottle that “looked like” a hand weight. And guess what? It was from oversees, and there was NO way to get our money back (trust me, we tried) and their Facebook account had disappeared. We chalked it up as a lesson to learn and moved on.
So now that the holidays are upon us I started seeing those same type of ads show up on my news feed, so I thought it would be kinda fun to pull back the curtain on an actual ad scam I just found. While I don’t know with 100% certainty that this business is a scam, the warning signs I show you are pretty sketchy. So let’s take a peak at what I found:
