In my last post, I talked about the power of marketing pieces and how you can use them to make the most out of your vendor/craft fair. Now let’s talk about my second way: Presentation.

Presentation – Your customers first impression of your booth will make or break the sale. Remember this booth is a mini-representation of your store/business and you want to put your best foot forward. That means your booth should be carefully thought out and organized. Clutter and disorganization will only make those walking by wonder if your product is made with the same consideration.

Here are some ideas on how you can step up your game on the presentation of your booth:

  • Ask the vendor fair organizers about additional costs to have 3 sides of your booth closed off so you can decorate the drapery on all sides. It may be for a small fee, but you’ll be able to utilize all the wall space to display your products. Drapery is a great place to pin various items or even put some nice banners on too.
  • Cover all the tables in your booth and hide all boxes and totes under tables. Empty boxes all over the display will only deflect from your booth and products. Another option is to utilize smaller empty boxes on top of your tables and cover them with other cloth to use for displays. Having a variety of elevations on your tables will give you more displaying options and will help showcasing your amazing products.
  • Utilize a gazebo or tent – This one is a little bit more pricey, but well worth the investment. There are all kinds of different pop-up gazebo options at Home Depot or Lowes. The nice thing about these options is that it really closes off your booth to the rest of the fair – giving you more options to truly make your booth into the best mini-version of your store as possible. Now, make sure it’ll fit inside the dimensions of your booth, of course.
  • If you sell clothing, your items should be neatly organized and even displayed. Utilize mannequins, hangers and racks, bins or pin items to the drapery walls.

What ways could you utilize from the above list to step up your game in your booth? Once you implement them, send me a before and after picture of your booth. I’d love to see how you put your flair on your booth!
